Hebrews 9:27 - And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
judgment - (krisis) - Noun - a decision, judgment
One day you will die.
After you die, you will be judged.
2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Matthew 16:27 - For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
A Christian’s judgment is for eternal reward or loss of reward. It has nothing to do with heaven or hell. That judgment is decided before we die!
An unbeliever’s judgment is for eternal punishment. Revelation 20:11-12 - 11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. The Lambâ€s Book of life contains the names of every soul who has believed. This book is opened and reveals when a soul has not believed. Because they have not believed, the other books are opened. These books are perfect records of everything a person has done. Unbelievers are going to be judged for how much eternal punishment they will receive. There are no court of appeals. God judges fairly and his pronouncement is eternal.
